As the summer begins, I am appreciating all of the free fun stuff to do in this city. First off, the free beaches with lifeguards. I can take my kids swimming in a safe fun environment. This is not technically free, as my taxes fund the beaches, but it seems free and it is fun.

There is free mulch in a few city parks. We have been getting lots of it lately for our garden. It is fun to shovel and great for putting around our plants.

It is a really big pile of mulch!

This is not free, but it is half price every wednesday, when I go and get clothes for my kids and clothes for projects. like denim quilts and grocery bags made out of pants. It is a fun place to shop, my kids call it 'the place where you can buy anything you want'. Personally I love the highly accurate name "Dig 'N Save"
